Skyrim, the fifth Elder Scrolls game from Bethesda, takes place in the province of Skyrim on the continent of Tamriel, where all the Elder Scrolls games are set. Using the coc console command on PC, you can instantly teleport to any location in Skyrim, if you know the teleport code to use. You can find all of these cell codes in the searchable table above. Skyrim has two types of cells, Interiors and Exteriors, and these cells exist within Worlds. The World for each cell is listed in the table above. Cells belonging to the "Interiors" World are Interior cells, while everything else will be an Exterior cell. Keep in mind that the "interiors" of some caverns and other locations will actually be classified by the game as "exterior" locations.

Skyrim has a lot of test cells left in the game by the developers. You can see them all by using the search filter for test cells. Skyrim doesn't have a cell called testinghall like Oblivion did, but the primary holding and test cells for inventory items used by Skyrim are named QASmoke and ThievesGuildHoldingCell. The primary holding and test cells for inventory items used by Dawnguard are named DLC1LDUtilityCell and DLC1VQHoldingCell.

During the time that the game takes place, the province of Skyrim is divided into nine holds. This article provides an overview of the nine holds and just some of the important places in each of them. If you're having trouble finding a location in the game if you're unsure how to spell it, you might find the correct spelling in this article. (Please note that, except for Winterhold, Whiterun and Falkreath, whose capital cities have the same name as the holds, you won't get any search results by searching for the names of the holds.)

The first hold in Skyrim is Haafingar, and the capital city is Solitude. Inside Solitude you'll find Castle Dour, the Blue Palace and the Bards College, as well as many shops. There's also a house that the player can purchase in Solitude, which is Proudspire Manor. Notable ruins in Haafingar include Kilkreath and Volskygge. There are two notable settlements in Haafingar, Dragon Bridge and Katla's Farm. A notable fort in this hold is Fort Hraggstad. Since this hold is on the coast, there are some ships in this area - the Katariah, the Dainty Sload and the Orphan's Tear. The Thalmor Embassy is located in this hold, and other landmarks include the Steed Stone and the Statue to Meridia.

The second hold in Skyrim is Hjaalmarch, and the capital city is Morthal. Landmarks in this hold include the Apprentice Stone, Skyborn Altar and Eldersblood Peak. A major landmark is Labyrinthian, which includes Shalidor's Maze and the Bromjunaar Sanctuary. Other interesting ruins in this hold are Folgunthur, Mzinchaleft, Ustengrav and Lost Valkygg. The Wreck of the Icerunner and Fort Snowhawk are also notable locations.

The Pale is the third hold in Skyrim, and the capital city is Dawnstar. Anga's Mill and Loreius Farm are other notable settlements in this hold. The Hall of the Vigilant, the Nightgate Inn and Fort Dunstad are good places to visit if you're spending time in this region. There are a lot of noteworthy ruins in this hold, including the High Gate Ruins, Irkngthand, Korvanjund, Raldbthar and Volunruud. Landmarks in this region include the Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon, Nightcaller Temple, Shearpoint, Stonehill Bluff, the Tower of Mzark, the Weynon Stones and the Yorgrim Overlook.

Winterhold is the fourth hold in Skyrim, and also the name of its capital city, which is all but decimated. The College of Winterhold, similar to the Mages Guild, is here. Hela's Folly, The Pride of Tel Vos and the Winter War are shipwrecks in this area. Forts here include Fort Fellhammer and Fort Kastav. Notable ruins include Alftand, Blackreach, Saarthal and the Skytemple Ruins. Landmarks worth visiting include the Serpent Stone, Ironbind Barrow, Mount Anthor, the Shrine of Azura, Snow Veil Sanctum, Yngol Barrow, Yngvild and Ysgramor's Tomb. If you're a very intrepid explorer, you can try to find the island of Japhet's Folly and Rockjoint Island.

The fifth hold in Skyrim is The Reach, and the capital city is Markarth, which includes Understone Keep, the Dwemer Museum, the Temple of Dibella and Cidhna Mine. The player can purchase the home Vlindrel Hall in Markarth. This hold is packed with places of interest. One of the great landmarks in this region is Bard's Leap Summit. If you're interested in old forts, you'll want to visit Fort Sungard. Ruins include Bthardamz, Nchuand-Zel, Ragnvald and Valthume. Other locations you might want to visit in The Reach include Deepwood Redoubt, Dragontooth Crater, Dushnikh Yal, Karthspire Redoubt, Karthwasten, Lost Valley Redoubt, Mor Khazgur, Red Eagle Redoubt and Salvius Farm. If you side with the Blades, you may be able to find Sky Haven Temple.

The sixth hold in Skyrim is Whiterun. The capital city, also named Whiterun, includes Dragonsreach, as well as many shops. The player can purchase the home Breezehome in Whiterun. The settlements of Riverwood and Rorikstead are worth visiting. Farms and places of interest in this region include Battle-Born Farm, Chillfurrow Farm, Pelagia Farm and the Honningbrew Meadery, and if you like old forts, check out Fort Greymoor. Noteworthy landmarks include the Ritual Stone, Gjukar's Monument, High Hrothgar, Serpent's Bluff and the Throat of the World.

Eastmarch is the seventh hold in Skyrim, and the capital city is Windhelm, which is notable for the Palace of the Kings and the Temple of Talos. The player can purchase the home Hjerim in Windhelm. Small communities in this hold include Kynesgrove, Brandy-Mug Farm, Hlaalu Farm, Hollyfrost Farm, Darkwater Crossing and Mixwater Mill. Ruins in this hold include Ansilvund, Kagrenzel and Mzulft. Fort Amol and Morvunskar are the forts to visit in this hold. Other landmarks to visit include the Atronach Stone, Bonestrewn Crest, the Sacellum of Boethiah and Narzulbur. Skuldafn, also known as Aludin's Portal, is said to be located in this region.

Falkreath is the eigth hold in Skyrim, with its capital city having the same name. Settlements in this region include Half-Moon Mill and Helgen. Landmarks include the Lady Stone, the Guardian Stones (including the Thief Stone, the Mage Stone and the Warrior Stone), Ancient's Ascent, Bleak Falls Barrow, and Bloodlet Throne. If you're touring all the forts in Skyrim, you should visit Fort Neugrad in this hold. It is rumored that the Dark Brotherhood have a Sanctuary in this region, and a place of myth known as the Twilight Sepulcher is also said to exist in this hold.

The ninth and final hold in Skyrim is The Rift. Its capital city, Riften, is notable for Mistveil Keep and the Black-Briar Meadery, and is also rumored to be the home of the Thieves Guild. The player can purchase the home Honeyside in Riften. Good places to visit are Ivarstead, Black-Briar Lodge, Goldenglow Estate, Heartwood Mill, Merryfair Farm, Sarethi Farm, Shor's Stone and Snow-Shod Farm. Fort Greenwall and Treva's Watch are the final forts in the province for those touring forts. Notable ruins in this region include Angarvunde, Avanchnzel and Bthalft. Landmarks include Arcwind Point, Autumnwatch Tower, Faldar's Tooth, Largashbur, Lost Tongue Overlook, Northwind Summit, the Shadow Stone, Shroud Hearth Barrow and Stendarr's Beacon. Finally, a place known as Nightingale Hall is rumored to exist in this hold.
